During my time at ABCmouse/Age of Learning, I worked as an illustrator and designer for online and printable activities.
For the 'Find It" series, illustrations were created where additional images would be hidden within the scene. Kids would then be given the list of things to find - all based upon the core lesson being taught - and could circle, color in, or call the items out. Then they could continue to color in the illustration for fun!
For the above image, I worked on the concept illustrations up to the final images. For some activities, creating an illustration without a character style set to follow, while still adhering to the general style of the site, was key.
Other illustrations, like above, were a collaborative effort. I handled the digital inking/cleanup of this piece, and the illustration itself is based on a character style already established in the site. I found having a lot of fun with collaborative work, since it meant seeing other people's approaches to complosition, style, and growing my own understanding.
